Applied Membranes, Inc. Membrane Chemicals


We carry the essential chemicals recommended to prolong the life of RO membranes.

  • Membrane Cleaners - Acid membrane cleaners remove mineral scale fouling while Alkaline membrane cleaners remove biological fouling to restore membrane performance, reducing strain on other system components.
  • Membrane Cleaning Cartridges - Applied Membranes pre-loaded membrane cleaning cartridges load directly into the system’s pre-filter housing for fast and easy RO membrane cleaning.
  • RO Membrane Preservatives - Specially formulated chemicals to prevent biological growth during periods of non operation.
  • Membrane Preservative Cartridges - Applied Membranes RO membrane preservative cartridges are pre-loaded with membrane preservative. To pickle an RO system or watermaker during an off-season, simply install the cartridge into the prefilter housing and flush the chemical into the system.
  • Antiscalant Pretreatment - A highly effective additive used as a pretreatment to prevent membrane scaling.

RO Replacement Pumps, Control Valves, Membranes & More


  • Water Treatment Pumps - We offer a selection of water pressurization pumps and motors for residential, commercial, and industrial water treatment including RO system pressure pumps, delivery pumps, and permeate pumps.
  • Flow Restrictors for RO Systems - Flow restrictors are designed to restrict the flow on the drain line (where the wastewater is expelled during reverse osmosis) in home RO systems to keep the membrane pressurized and control the recovery ratio of the system. We stock a variety of flow restrictors sized for all home RO membrane flow rates for convenient replacement. Flow restrictors are recommended to be replaced at the time of RO membrane replacement to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Flow Control Valves - There are a variety of use cases for flow control valves in reverse osmosis filtration. Most commonly, they are used to accurately and safely control the flow of the water as it undergoes the various steps in the reverse osmosis filtration process. We carry brass and stainless steel needle valves that are best suited for high-pressure systems.
