Our commitment
WaterAnywhere (“WaterAnywhere,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to providing digital experiences that are usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We are the official online distributor of Applied Membranes, Inc. (AMI) products and share their commitment to accessibility across all customer touchpoints. Our goal is to achieve substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to monitor developments toward WCAG 2.2.
1. Scope
This statement applies to:
- WaterAnywhere.com and related digital experiences (e-commerce, customer account portal, and resource downloads)
- Customer and distributor portals
- Online manuals, datasheets, and product literature (including PDFs)
- Videos and other multimedia hosted on our domains
- Email templates and forms we control
2. How we build accessibility in
- Governance and accountability: We designate an accessibility lead to coordinate standards, reviews, and remediation across our digital properties.
- Design and development standards: Our UX and engineering guidelines address keyboard navigation, color contrast, focus order, headings and landmarks, form labels and errors, alt text, transcripts/captions, and motion/animation controls.
- Content publishing: Editors follow checklists for concise link text, document structure, descriptive media alternatives, and accessible tables.
- Quality assurance: We use a combination of automated scanning and manual testing, including screen-reader testing, keyboard-only journeys, and color/contrast checks. Issues are tracked and prioritized based on user impact and WCAG level.
- Training: Teams involved in design, development, content, marketing, and procurement receive periodic accessibility training.
- Procurement and vendors: We incorporate accessibility requirements into RFPs and contracts and review vendor-provided Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) when available.
- Continuous improvement: We review pages and templates on a rolling schedule and after major releases, and we update patterns as standards evolve.
3. Optimized technologies
Our sites are designed for current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies, including:
- Screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack
- Keyboard-only and switch input
- Common desktop and mobile operating systems
For the best experience, use the latest browser and OS versions and keep assistive technologies up to date.
4. Product documentation and media
- Manuals, spec sheets, and safety information: We are working to ensure downloadable PDFs are tagged and navigable. If you encounter a document that is not accessible, we will provide the information in an alternative format on request.
- Videos and webinars: New videos are produced with captions; we are progressively adding captions and transcripts to legacy content.
5. Third-party content
Some features (for example, maps, payment services, or embedded tools) are provided by third parties and may not fully meet our standards. We advocate for accessible solutions and provide alternatives where feasible.
6. Known limitations and remediation
If you find an area that is difficult to use, please tell us. We prioritize fixes based on severity and user impact. For time-sensitive needs (e.g., product selection, technical data, SDS, or order status), we will provide information through an alternate accessible channel upon request.
7. Feedback, requests, and accessibility assistance
We welcome questions, feedback, and requests for reasonable accommodations related to our digital content.
