Home & Business Reverse Osmosis Membrane Replacements

Whole House RO Membrane Replacements


These systems are designed for point of entry (POE) installation to provide water free from contaminants to the entire building. This system connects to the main water line. We offer whole house RO membrane replacements from a variety of brand names.

Commercial RO Membranes


Replacement RO membranes used in a variety of business applications are typically run at higher pressures for optimum performance and higher rejection. We offer replacement membrane elements for water treatment systems used for water stores, larger facilities, carwashes, and manufacturing.

MF, UF, NF, and RO Membranes Separation Processes Explained


Membrane elements are used in the membrane separation technology processes; all of which serve different levels of demineralization and decontamination. The different processes of separation refer to the pore size and type of semi-permeable membranes used to remove organic matter from the water. Microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF), and reverse osmosis (RO) membranes are explained below:

Microfiltration Membrane Separation


(pores equal 0.1 micron)- A pressure-driven filtration process which removes many microorganisms and suspended solid materials but allows smaller ions, particles, and many viruses to pass through.

Ultrafiltration Membrane Separation


(pores equal to 0.01 micron)- UF is a pressure-driven separation process which removes larger microorganisms and suspended particulate matter as well as bacterias and most viruses. However, cannot remove dissolved substances without first absorbing them using a coagulate.

Nanofiltration Membrane Separation


(pores equal 0.001 micron)- This type of filtration membrane blocks even smaller organic molecules and almost all viruses, as well as most organic matter and salts. NF is often used to soften hard water because it can remove divalent ions, which cause hard water.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane Separation


(0.0001 micron)- RO is one of the most extensive and efficient water filtration methods. A RO system uses a pump to force water through the membrane. Contaminants remain on one side of the membrane (wastewater later drained) resulting in pure water collection on the other. Reverse osmosis removes 98% of harmful minerals including fluoride, salts, sediment, arsenic, chlorine, VOCs, herbicides, pesticides, bacteria and viruses.
